1. 2.2% of farmers benefitted from this scheme; 97.8% did not benefit.
2. The quantity of seeds distributed to farmers has increased by 27.2%.
3. No evidence were found that some robust doorstep testing facilities were provided to farmers.

1. Question No. 174 (starred) , Lok Sabha 17, Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare, August 1, 2023, average number of farmers benifitted from seeds distribution between 2020-23 under Seed Village Programme of SMSP scheme is 31.5 Lakhs.
2. The report linked below on agriwelfare.gov.in portal indicates that the quantity of seeds distributed to farmers between years 2014-2018 is 1,59,101 Lakh Kgs and that in between years 2019-2024 is 2,02,355; an improvement of 27.2% seeds distribution.
